thank heavens for small favors, eh? But if this leads to being able to get WiFi while actually riding the trains, that would be a big deal. Assuming, of course, that there are still enough trains to ride.

Sure. Fewer trains, more waiting time. But there's Wi-Fi and LTE! Things are definitely better.

Well, NYC transit is getting a little better at least. Verizon has LTE in 35 Manhattan subway stations, as of today: http://www.engadget.com/2014/01/28/verizon-lte-nyc-subway/

I'm not sure that WiFi makes up for the suckiness of riding NJ Transit!
