Re: Speed of deployment
We'll see if a t-mobile/verizon 700mhz deal goes through.

Re: Speed of deployment
I think you're completely right Dan. AT&T and Verizon surpass everyone else in terms of coverage and speeds. I don't even think T-Mobile can be included in that argument. They are a distance third. It would be nice if more businesses could afford to be more competitive against these giants.

Re: Speed of deployment
It would be hard -- but not impossible -- to meld the networks. They would have to move Sprint users (probably) off CDMA devices and refarm more spectrum. That's a big ol task.

Re: Speed of deployment
And then I guess all bets are off if the two of them merge, eh? Think that's likely to happen?

Re: Speed of deployment
Going to be a close call. T-Mobile has moved faster but Sprint has all that 2.5GHz spectrum nationwide now. T-Mobile needs more spectrum if its to expand much beyond its 225M POPS target.

Re: Speed of deployment
Thanks, Sarah and Dan. So who are you betting on for the bronze medal? I've got my chips on T-Mobile.

Re: Speed of deployment
Yeah, 2014 is all about filling in LTE coverage gaps for AT&T (and Verizon too). The race for bronze is now between T-Mobile and Verizon.

Re: Speed of deployment
Here it's full coverage list: http://www.att.com/network/. I believe it's hit all the major markets, but still may have to go back and fill in gaps in some of the bigger ones. (PS. Could they have used three different colors instead of shades or orange? Sheesh.)

Re: Speed of deployment
So what does AT&T have left to cover now? Any markets of any size left?

Speed of deployment
AT&T's speed of deployment has been steady and impressive. Know how long it took Verizon to get the same coverage? Note to Sprint and T-Mobile, underpromise and overdeliver.
