Apple products shouldn't be affected. The kind of licensing agreement CHina is likely to seek will be a single royalty for all Chinese companies using 4G.

But given that Apple products are made in China, I suppose theoretically it might be able to order the Qualcomm chips through a China partner (eg, Foxconn) and get the cheaper local rate, if it didn't mind blowing up its relationship with Qualcomm.

Could get to be really interesting if Apple wants a TD-LTE modem for its China Mobile 4G iPhones, Qualcomm is its usual partner.
