Re: Still crunch time...
Plus there's going to be the proxy fight in the standards bodies in the coming years over defining 5G -- all the big players seem to a slightly diff. take on what it is -- getting the IPR in line etc. etc.

Re: Still crunch time...
The strength of Alcatel-Lucent's comeback is hard to dispute. That it is considered an underdog upstart now should remind us of how far it has fallen. Will to continue to be as competitive if it reclaims the top dog status in more market segments, or will it lose that underdog's edge?

Still crunch time...
I think there is little doubt that Alcatel-Lucent's prospects have improved recently and there is a tangible and defiant edge to ALU staffers -- this is not a company that lacks fight.

But I think it is still in a precarious position.... one major roadbump could take it off course.

However, I have heard people compare ALU to Nortel and I don;t think that is fair. Alcatel-Lucent has the assets and is strategically placed in key areas to survive, Nortel parked itself in a cul-de-sac and was not savable.
