Yeah, I was wondering about that too, Sarah. IPTV seems quite alice and well at AT&T, as it does at the three biggest telcos up here in Canada. Why does it have to be one or the other?

Yeah, I suppose some could be doing both. AT&T seems pretty happy with its IPTV experience as U-Verse was the star of its Q3. It had its first billion dollar quarter in revenues and added 265,000 customers.

I also wonder how many operators re at a critical point now where their answer might change in the next couple years. For example, IPTV might have been at the center of their multi-screen strategies so far, but perhaps OTT is moving toward center stage.

Rural telcos
I'd be curious to hear about the sizes of operators responding to the poll. I've talked with a number of rural telcos that tried IPTV but found it too expensive and had much better luck partnering with OTT players.
