re: WaveSmith Closes $31M Round i'd have to agree....if there was a working product with any value, they would be selling it.

re: WaveSmith Closes $31M Round You guys are wrong - I happen to know that the gotham box is in the lab of at least one big ATM service provider. Revenue shipments may be a ways off, but at least they have functional hardware and software.

re: WaveSmith Closes $31M Round just how functional is the hardware and software? They are claiming a lot of features and if even half of them are working it would be a shock considering the amount of time they have been developing. The development they are talking about isn't by any means trivial.

re: WaveSmith Closes $31M Round agreed look at the data sheet. The routing capacity of a jnpr or csco core router, redback sms functionality, A full blown core atm switch, toast your bread, route your mpls whatever it takes. this thing is a god box. How many terabits was that nexabit router their architect "designed"? 1.6, 16, 160? Who cares, never shipped. Neither will this, its a godbox datasheet sham. If it were 1999 this would be a 2 billion dollar company, but now boxes have to work, and from what I hear the third round aint lookin too good for our heroes. Better hurry and "nexabit" this thing!

re: WaveSmith Closes $31M Round No product photos on the web site?
Is there a product or just white papers and datasheets?

re: WaveSmith Closes $31M Round "Holy-Kleenex Batman, Gotham had the answer right under their nose the whole time and they blew it!"

re: WaveSmith Closes $31M Round At SuperComm Gotham talked about 3 trials they had underway. They didn't name names but spoke about the applications.

re: WaveSmith Closes $31M Round I heard John Wolf (VP, Bus. Dev.) and John Lazor (Dir, Sys. Eng.) moved on recently....when people on the front line of sales start moving on, it's never a good sign for a company.

Will the VCs maintain funding if the brain drain keeps up ?

re: WaveSmith Closes $31M Round Departure of Sales and/or Business Development types is usually a good barometer of the future. If that's true, then expect more of the same - followed by Engineers.
