Hi Peter,

I think QOS, by itself, won't improve things too much. If I have 2 TVs in my house, both watching the Super Bowl and my DSL can only really handle 8-10MB/s, it would be better to have some form of efficient multicast than straight QOS, even with MPEG4 compression; though QOS definitely needs to be part of the solution. See the RPR spec (IEEE 802.17) for an implementation that has both.
