It would be entertaining to see Sprint try to challenge T-Mobile on its 4G claims because its WiMax network isn't 4G either, technically.
I seriously doubt consumers will really care or notice that T-Mobile's or Sprint's networks aren't really 4G -- they just want a good mobile data service.
It could get ugly. They should play up the actual speeds rather than the '4G' marketing moniker. I don't think consumers really understand what 4G means, but they do understand speediness.
Kind of reminiscent of "This is Spinal Tap." All of the other wireless carriers will be at 10G and Sprint will go to 11G just to get that "extra push over the cliff."
I believe we have found the new answer to the ultimate question of life, the Universe and everything....what do you get when you multiple 20 by 4.....100!
Peano's axioms relegated to dust in the hands of a few marketeers :-)
First it was cisco math, multiply everything we make by 2, but not the competitor's. Now it's Tmo's 3G > 3G. What will our kids learn next? 20x4 = 100, for values of 4 asymptotically approaching 5?
