re: The Effect of War on Telecom In the middle of their remarks, without any warning, punch them in the nose.

A mobster from Vegas made a similar analogy. He said they used to use such infantile tactics in their business dealings on a regular basis. Then they met Corporate America. Corporate America didn't hit back. It did something much, much worse. It put him and his friends into bankruptcy. He said he would rather have had a broken nose because the pyschological pain of living one's life in poverty hurts more than any silly bloody nose.

re: The Effect of War on Telecom Hi Gardner,

I enjoy many of your posts, and agree with most of them (dunno if you bother reading any of mine). Just curious, do you have connections to a somewhat small North-Eastern US University (alumni)?

re: The Effect of War on Telecom The problem I have with Al Jazeera is that it builds hatred among the uneducated. These people are brainwashed. While Fox News and MSNBC are clearly biased they are reaching a more educated and open audience.

Check out this link, it says it all about America and this war.

http://www.intoon.com/cartoon....

go to the site and type the word "upbeat" (no quotes) in the search box.

When the WTC was hit I thought "wouldn't it be awesome if we did nothing to these fanatics but rebuild the WTC in record time and stuck that in their faces".

When I saw the "Coalition" forces attacking Iraq I thought "woudn't it be awesome if the Iraqi military never fired a shot and stuck that in the faces of the Coalition forces that had come over there to "kick some ass".

Alas, there are plenty of ignorant a-holes on both sides. God deliver me from the violent and primitive human race!

re: The Effect of War on Telecom
"Dr." Bush and war council have been making false alegations that have been proved totally false. He has made so many false and conflicting resolutions against Iraq that the whole world is appaled. Death, hunger and starvation are acts of extreme cruelity inflicted by the US warriors.

The world also has to make the judgement as to who, Iraq or USA. have the weapons of mass destruction. US has no more wisdom to maqnufacture and deploy nuclear weapons than any other country in the world. In fact, the US was the first country to use4 nuclear weapons in Japapan. Over a half million Japanese have died.

The forces of occupation would remain in Iraq for at least five years on the pretext of rebuiling Iraq while looting its treasury.

if we are a super power due to our having weapons of mass destruction, if we have to display let us shoot in the sky in stead of killing chidren and mothers of other countries.

I hope some sanity would prevail in "Dr" Bushes head and heart.

"Dr." Bush and his war council never allowed the US Senate to discuss the issue of war and peace

re: The Effect of War on Telecom The majority of Middle-Eastern muslims despise anything and anyone not muslim. Theirs is a hatred that goes back many, many centuries.

For general Knowledge only

Iraq has a mix of Muslim and Christian population.
Tariq Aziz is a christian( How many muslims are ministors in US)The christian and Muslims were living peacefully

Iraq did not practice the Quran translation of infidels and BLAH BLAH.

They have some of the worlds surviving churches. Declared as world heritage.

Iraq also has temples and gurdwaras not present any where else in Middle East.

Iraq did not not impose the strict head to toe cover for its women and girls.

Iraq has alcohol sales and manufacturing. (very unislamic).

Unlike the rest of middle east where non muslims were not givin jobs Iraq did not impose this policy

re: The Effect of War on Telecom 1) Operation Iraqi Liberation (OIL)
2) Take over Bagdad - Bag-Dad => Dad's Bag => Baggage left behind by Bush Sr.

well... my 2 cents to lighten up the message board

re: The Effect of War on Telecom As to the poor oppressed Iraqi people, they have the right to their freedom and a democracy if they want one, but so are millions and milions of other people that we don't do anything about
--------------------------------------------------
Yes these millions are not sitting on the worlds 2nd largeset (which may turn well turn out to be the largest OIL Field of the world)
It would a bad buisness to hammer the s* out of these countries without any return on investment.

What can u steal from a Broke. HA HA

re: The Effect of War on Telecom "Advancing down the road from Nineveh

Death paused a while and said, Now listen here

You see the names of places round about

They are mine now and I have turned them inside out.

Take Eden further South

At dawn today I ordered up my troops to tear away

its walls and gates so everyone can see that gorgeous fruit which dangles from its tree.

You want it don't you? Go and eat it then and lick your lips and pick the same again.

Take Tigris and Euphrates.

Once they ran through childhood-colored slabs of sand and

sun. Not any more they don't. I have filled them up with countless different kinds of human crap.

Take Babylon

The palace sprouting flowers which sweetened empires in their peaceful hours.

I have found a different way to scent the air. Already it's a by-word for despair.

Which leaves Baghdad, the star-tipped minarets, the marble courts and halls, the mirage heat.

These places and the ancient things you know you won't know soon. I am working on it now."

re: The Effect of War on Telecom I also find it unbelievable that anyone, including Arabs, would believe that we are targeting civilians. What advantage would we have in attacking innocent people?
__________________________________________________

This one is for the naive. Read on how innocent civilians are killed using smart weapons. Techies will also like this

http://news.independent.co.uk/...

http://popularmechanics.com/sc...

The BLU 97 -- a canister containing 202 bomblets, each the size of a soda can -- has been used by U.S. forces in Iraq against heavily populated civilian areas

http://www.reuters.co.uk/newsA...

These are not the ones that landed in Saudi Arabia Turkey Kurdistan and Iran. One or two went friendly to kill their own people.
http://www.popularmechanics.co...

I dont want to discuss why they are killed as that's not techie stuff

re: The Effect of War on Telecom 1. Iraq did not not impose the strict head to toe cover for its women and girls.

Yeah, all that clothing gets in the way when you're trying to rape and torture.

>>>>>>>>>>

2. Unlike the rest of middle east where non muslims were not givin jobs Iraq did not impose this policy

When you pay $1.50 a month, who cares who's working.

3. They have some of the worlds surviving churches. Declared as world heritage.

And I suppose the Republican Guard taking up positions in these mosques is only an effort to preserve Iraq's religious heritage.

>>>>>>>>>>>

4. Iraq has alcohol sales and manufacturing. (very unislamic).

The alcohol manufacture is mostly to satisfy Saddam's alcoholism. The majority of the Iraqi people don't partake.
