re: The Effect of War on Telecom "He invaded Kuwait and was invading Saudi Arabia in 91"

Another factual comment: The invasion of Saudi Arabia that was coming up in '91 was a fantasy, it was probably created by Hill and Knowlton, a PR agency hired by the US government to turn the US population around and make them support the war. There was a massive anti-sentiment to the war before H&N got hired. It is also very likely that they cooked up the story about the babies pulled out of their incubators in Kuwait and killed. That was free fantacy.

re: The Effect of War on Telecom "If you were in that tank you woulda done the same thing. Think about it, do you have time to figure out who and what is shooting at you on every occasion?

Just for the record, all the journalists, including the american girl reporting to NPR and others, strongly denied there had been any shooting from the hotel. They were there, they should know, right?

I'd say the tank commander didn't know it was the Palestine, he saw a bunch of people on top of it with binoculars. He miscalculated and he fired.

re: The Effect of War on Telecom All the US news media keep showing the tanks, military gears, and fighter jets. This is no way to cover a brutal war like this. CNN is specialy guilty of this form of war coverage. They never bring distinguished guests like Professor Choamasky. The female reporters of the US news media are loaded with make-up to make them trustworthy. Similarly the voice of male reporters have become deeper and deeper to make them appear if they are speaking with authority. The sad thing about these reporters is that they know these things work. It is sad to see the shady chracters assume this kind of pasture. This creates a wrong and untruthful information in about 60% of the american populace.

The Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) is far better and presenting scholars and intellectuals who can comment on the news items.

In 0one of my earlier posts, I wrote that the US Government would replace the oil drilling equipment. Today ( wednesday) "Dr." cheney announced the same thing before the US reporters. He said by replacing the equipment, he intends to double the oil production. This is being done to drain off the Iraqi wealth to the US. At least 70 Billion dollars will be looted from the Iraqi people. It is precisely because of these kind of activities "Dr." President does not want any role for the UN.

If you look at the street people in Baghdad, they are very poor people and they were rejoicing in looting the government. But the US reporters reported it to be the Iraqi people welcomong the US troops. The US press has also reported that the marines will have too create good will among the people. I have any army that has been able to produce good will among the people.

It is my sincere hope that the Us Government does not promote showing adult movies, establishment of pornography theaters, and drinking of alcohol in a Islamic country. But ithe US Government does do this, all these spred to Iran. Kuwait, Saudi Arabia.

There is still a larger concern that the Iraqi wealth is not looted by the foreign governments. The US government has has more than one way to deprive the Iraqi people of their wealth. The US Government shou;d also not set a group of consultants or advisory boards to steal or divert the wealth of Iraq. No doubt weath seekers of our country favored the invasion of Iraq.

The company that "Dr." Cheney headed before his elevation to the current position by the US Supreme Court has won govermment contracts worth $768.00 Million or so.

re: The Effect of War on Telecom Dear voip,

You are as dillusional as BobbyM. I said nothing about your political ideology in my last message to you. I was taking your suggestion and asking for a different point of view from someone of a different race/nationality, etc.
You failed to answer or even acknowledge the question at hand. C'est lavie!
I'm glad that you like crapshooters answers on this thread. I also find them quite humorous.

re: The Effect of War on Telecom Goodbye voip, vaya con Dios.

By the way, I am not Bill Johnson's general. We both have the same Commander-in-Chief.

Bill: one by one, we're wearing down the commies and they're giving up the ghost.

You mean if I go to Iran I can go watch Porno? sign me up ... although having visited Riyadh a couple of times I think it's pretty unlikely we'll be seeing any hot young things on the Saudi silver screen there any time soon ... half the time I was there was spent avoiding the religious police who were out to round-up anyone out on the streets during prayer time. Having said that I enjoyed the time I spent there and would willingly go back anytime .....

Maybe they could have U.S.-sponsored porno police in Tehran - "get to the theater five times a day or else ..."

Weirdest Saudi experience: Having to pause a technical lecture I was giving to 150 Saudi's for half an hour due to prayer time ... moral: remember to check the daily prayer times in the morning newspaper.
