re: Telica Signs Verizon What are saying, Sonus has 170M revenue this year. Santera just signed a 20M deal, Convergent has lots of announced customers. I think Telica has a lot of competition in this space.

re: Telica Signs Verizon Sonus is in trouble. Santera says they are not, but that is doubtful. Convergent is a non-player. IPverse just went out of business. Cisco should stick to their IP business. Lucen & Nortel are dinosaurs. Is Telica for real? Only time will tell.

re: Telica Signs Verizon Is this all they got, an internet offload box. Is it ready? Does it do anything else? When will more functions be available? Two years?

re: Telica Signs Verizon "Is this all they've got?"
Maybe that is the secret to their success - focus. Remember Curly in "City Slickers"? Do one thing and do it really well. You listening CSCO, LU, NT? Nah - didn't think so.

re: Telica Signs Verizon Selling to RBOCs and IXCs, that's all they need right now. No RBOC is deploying this to cap investment on or replace Class 5 switch gear.

re: Telica Signs Verizon No credibility from ZAPPED. He was a Tachion person and should have learned his lesson about focus and execution.

re: Telica Signs Verizon I wouldn't say Sonus is in trouble. They are still king of the hill and millions in the bank.

re: Telica Signs Verizon
Congrats to Telica on the Verizon deal. It signed up what everybody needs right now...customers. Customers generate revenue and revenue leads to profit which is the name of the game. Since that is the case the real question is who are the people that can sign up the customers??? The answer is seasoned sales reps who can uncover business and know the big accounts.

Anybody think Telica's mgmt. team will pick up on this concept?

re: Telica Signs Verizon Best case they already have a top knotch crew. If not, there are a ton of former Sonus sales guys on the street now. It should be fairly easy to organize an outstanding staff in this market.
