re: Singapore Slings for AlcaLu, Huawei

LMAO.

My HR person recently told me that a recent hire would be "onboarding" in a couple of weeks.  I'm standing by with ski goggles just in case your snowboarding hunch proves right.

I'm wondering what happens when I fire someone - do they get offboarded?  I suppose that's like wiping out.

"In recent news, Company X announced the offboarding of 500 employees as a cost-cutting measure..."

This report suggests Huawei's action is worth $500 million and Alcalu about $210 million.

re: Singapore Slings for AlcaLu, Huawei I believe 'onboarding' is a term widely used in the human resources world. Not sure if it will catch on in our industry. Snowboarding looks more fun.

Personally, I think "onboarding" should be banned by any civilized government, though I do recognize the counter-argument that onboarding has some value in intelligence gathering and can save innocent lives.
