re: Rob Pullen, CEO, Tellabs 24 years there. Made an excellent decision around VZ. Knows his product portfolio inside out. Pretty much puts him in top 1% of CEOs today....

re: Rob Pullen, CEO, Tellabs LR,

Thanks for doing and posting the interview. I found it to be one of the best (and most honest) I've read. Quite informative.

re: Rob Pullen, CEO, Tellabs Thanks. Pullen did have some interesting points. The Verizon explanation in particular... I better understand why Tellabs would walk away from that business.

There's definitely logic to the 7300 "end-to-end" story, but I've got my doubts. No deep analysis there; it's just that there's so much competition, some of which is Cisco -- and betting on Cisco, in some cases, is like betting on rain in Seattle.

Still, Tellabs must have the interest of some customer, or they wouldn't have gone through the effort of developing the 7300, right?

re: Rob Pullen, CEO, Tellabs Devil's advocate question: Is an insider really right for the job? Phil Harvey was asking that earlier:

Then again, as Phil pointed out, Pullen has a chance to make a real difference (and, based on the talk I had with him, seems to realize it):

re: Rob Pullen, CEO, Tellabs I wasn't sure if this or Phil's post was the right place to post, I chose the prior: http://www.lightreading.com/bo...
