re: Qtera Founder Joins VC Firm This exchange is hilarious... tragic actually, even pathetic.

This is an example of the times we live in.

These two people are saying the exact same thing. One person is an engineer, the other one is either a manager, or a vc.

This is so typical of human efforts.

For example:

We didn't fail, we just didn't succeed as well as would have been hoped on a performance basis. From a financial perspective we made out like bandits.

Denial is such sweet sorrow.

We woke up, and the work was harder than we thought. When we woke up again, the market was gone. Then we woke up again, and we longer had to work hard. What were we working on?

Dilbert, where art thou?

re: Qtera Founder Joins VC Firm gea,

No, Qtera does not predate Corvis. Siemens predates Qtera, as Diner was working on his little baby while still employed by Siemens, which I believe gives credence to the IP suit. It's possible they stole some ideas from Corvis. Ask Huber, if you get a chance.

re: Qtera Founder Joins VC Firm By the way, both the 4000 and 5000 are still listed on the web site:
http://www.nortelnetworks.com/...

What do you make of that? Which one will it be? My bet's on the 1600 :)
