re: ONI's Evans Hones the Message ONI seems to know exactly what it needs to do next in moving the message to the old RBOC's - this is not something entrepreneurial, jet-setting Hugh is optimized to do.

Good luck guys!

re: ONI's Evans Hones the Message Notice how many times ONI has been on LR lately? The marketing is working great! Way to go Mr. Evans, and best of luck moving forward!

re: ONI's Evans Hones the Message We could sure use someone with that mindset at Lucent. In my opinion, we do a lousy job at marketing the company.

re: ONI's Evans Hones the Message I'm curious to know why Nortel would let him go; or can LR verify was Mr. Evans optimized by Nortel?

Also, we tend to believe one's own hipe about what we can do; which RBOC accounts did Mr. Evans bring to Nortel?

I wish Mr. Evans Good Luck in his new endeavors, but he has a tough road to haul.

re: ONI's Evans Hones the Message I hear it was "don't let the door hit you on the way out." It's a plus for Nortel that he's at ONI.

re: ONI's Evans Hones the Message Let's put it this way;

Worked in the great North and then moved south to become the sales exec for BellSouth account. Can't comment on his optimization in that role.

Then in 2002, was put as the VP marketing for the access Networks including DSL and NGDLC-
Guess what, not even one year Access Division was closed down and subsequently and partially sold to Zhone Technologies and Mr Evans managed to jump ship to Optera Metro while the axe was being applied to the folks in Atlanta, Ottawa and Montreal.

Way to Go and good luck

re: ONI's Evans Hones the Message It's 2000 not 2002.
Jumped ship to Optera Metro in Jan 2001
