On the merchandising end, it's for operators and programmers (if they can get programmers on board to participate).  But it's not just for moving merchandise.. they were also talking about t-commerce ads and RFI-like opportunities. But that's just part of the capabiliites... whether someone will use it is another thing, but the competitive potential is there if any of Canoe's partners sign on to deploy Medios.  JB

Medios has primarily been positioned as a back-end service management platform for multi-screen/service convergence, which is what VZ's Flex View has implemented. Verizon has kept most of the front-end user interface and design in-house.


Also, I believe the merchandizing capability within Medios is to facilitate a single operator to implement a storefront feature, while Canoe is focused on developing cross-MSO platforms for applications/interactivity/t-commerce/ads.
