re: More Cuts at Ciena Have no fear, shameless job poster has been deleted and removed. That is a pay service for our jobs board here at LR -- after all, we have to make money like everybody else.

re: More Cuts at Ciena AxioHR is shameless, posting stuff like that on the message board. I guess that's the kind of things s/he had to do to get through and get a job in HR. It can't be any funnier for HR person to talk about technology or industry. They don't usually know jack and always try to impress a candidate.

PLEASE!

Go and pay to post your shameless job post on employement websites.

re: More Cuts at Ciena Well, of course. You need another manager to mangage the manager who is managing the worker. Not including executive level management, of course.

re: More Cuts at Ciena Nexabit is a shame. They claimed that they have a 3Tbps+ switch fabric. Now if I tell you how they calcuate the number, you will probably laugh so hard that you fall off your chair - It will make Enron accounting look real good.

If you lost your jobs, I suggest that you inflate your resume 10 times, and apply there ...

re: More Cuts at Ciena Too many competitors chasing too little business - something has to give. Which optical equipment makers won't survive?

re: More Cuts at Ciena were not part of Agile. they only had the opportunity to fleece LU once.

re: More Cuts at Ciena With all due respect, Stata was definitely affiliated with Agile, either as a Board Member or early investor. Very deep links to Agile. I'm sure I can find out how exactly, but he was invovled in the introduction of Agiel to Lucent before the acquisition.

As I mentioned, as I recall Chatter was not connected to Agile.

re: More Cuts at Ciena Welcome back Harvey. As much as I dislike you negativity, ranting, numerous typos, and boot licking of Lucent & Nortel, you do have valid points at times. And, although the person who stole your moniker showed pre-pubescent intelligence, it was funny; especially the psychiatrist part.

Melao, first of all, Nortel is a Canadian company; secondly, you can not condemn all American companies because of what happenend to you and blame it on the culture. That culture has made America one of the wealthiest countries in the world.
Perhaps what you are referring to are the "politics" of business. In that sense, China and Japan are a lot more harsh than US companies or companies in Canada for that matter.

Ciena's problem is one that has plagued many telecom companies, which is too many chiefs and not enough indians. For the politically correct, that is too many managers and not enough engineers.

re: More Cuts at Ciena Actually you are incorrect, only the VP of engineering and VP of manufacturing were agile affiliates
