re: Juniper Jumps on Good News Here goes FW23 with his juniper bashing, super bowl ad campaign. Next he'll pumping up procket as he did last week.

My opinion goes with the others on this board that customer deals come from demonstrating good working products with customers. Working with customers to understand their requirements and addressing them with solutions from vendors. This takes time, dedication, technical know-how, good marketing and alot of positive comments from other customers.

Super-bowl ads can not and will not give you this.

My suspicion is that FW23 sells ads for the superbowl and used to work for Procket. Hence the reason he keeps pumping them up.

I want to make it very clear that have not said
anything about Procket in this series of messages
(which is about Juniper and its many problems).
Please leave Procket out of this. You are
bringing up Procket, not me. I hope everyone
reading this understands that and nobody jumps
off the deep end.

I'm not bashing Juniper. I'm trying to ask a
simple question in order to prevent another
Enron or Worldcom type situation from dragging
the industry that I love down into the dirt
again.

And while you may not agree about the IMPORTANCE
of marketing, the HEAVY READING survey should have
been a wake-up call to everyone buried in the
sand that things are not what they seem.
Especially for juniper.

re: Juniper Jumps on Good News I've been too busy to dig into this, but can anyone tell me what % of Juniper's reported profits came from Unisphere products?

I've been hearing rumors that Juniper has been gaining some traction at the edge, even taking away some "closed" business from the likes of Laurel....

re: Juniper Jumps on Good News fw23,

You post some messages that make you look realy dumb. Either:

1) you do it for fun to get a rise out of people
2) you really are not clued into reality
3) you intentionally spread unwarranted FUD

Your message about Juniper accounting trickery is inane.

re: Juniper Jumps on Good News I don't know your job function in the telecomm industry but I would like to know whether you have ever sold or done business with a service provider or a carrier, including the different hierarchies of decision makers, influencers and planners?

If your answer is affirmative, then I will have two words: emperor and clothes :-)

If not, then it would be a good experience to get acquainted with the selling process to these carriers and service providers (as described by LR and HR) and the players involved in decision making and signing the final contracts.
