If you read the law, the candidate support was important to list is that backing a candidate is expressly forbidden for a church to keep its tax exempt status.

I suspect that you were unaware of that.

I read the article. The church claimed to not support any candidate. That claim is no more valid at this time than the IRS's claim that they did (which would be the reason they could remove tax exempt status). Until the entire thing is vetted out, it is unclear what the story is.

I was simply pointed out that this is the reason the article was written that way. Did you actually read my post?
