OpticOm, take a deep breath, actually read the Larry post above, and then look up "irony" in a dictionary.

I think OpticOm was trying some irony of his own.

Hardly. The reference to the "fifth column" in his post is pretty compelling evidence of irony. Haven't heard that phrase in a while.

re: IRS to Church: Shut Up! I still remember the "old" days, when LR had plenty of flame wars ... but they at least had something to do with the Telecom Industry. Then the two or three worst perpetrators went away, and there was relative peace.

Lately LR keeps getting into these off-topic discussions. If LR wants to just be a useless discussion board on every social topic they choose, that's their choice. But I find it very annoying.

re: IRS to Church: Shut Up! Personally,

I think Porn is a godsend for this industry; it is one of the true business success models of the internet, preceding Ebay, Amazon and Google. It helps to generate jobs in the industry by using vast amounts of bandwidth to send and resend jpgs via emails. Now that broadband is becoming more prevalent, the porn industry is stepping up to plate and putting streaming video on many websites, further bolstering bandwidth requirements.

Where would the communications industry be without porn?

(not that I ever took part in the product oferings....)
