re: Indian Carriers Commit to GPON I am not sure we can understimate the growing economy in India. The 2M GPON line plans for the next 3 years is in addition to about 18M ADSL lines. Currently BSNL has an open tender for 8M ADSL lines. Their are enough population in India that can pay whatever is needed to get really high bandwidth services. Surprisingly enough i read yesterday that some of the WW vendors are offering GPON in a lower price than GE-PON

Is this what you meant to say, or do you think their economy is going to tank, like the rest of the world?

And what does 'tender' mean? Does this mean they have money in the bank, and are making orders? Or is this just some kind of RFP?
