They are primarily a DSL chipset company. They started as a early mover in VDSL. Now there are big companies - Infineon and Broadcomm in the VDSL market.

So, what happens over time is the value of the early entry erodes (see Centillium). So, revenue upside? Really?

These companies (Ikanos, Centillium, Passave, Broadlight, Teknovus) are nice little divisions of larger firms that want to enter those businesses. They need to sell when the adoption starts. It is actually too late for Ikanos already and they will be Centillium by the end of the decade.

Yes, I know Transwitch (yeah there is a big winner) just bought Centillium. Ikanos has some time to do better if it can talk people into a better price, but growth? Your kidding right?
