re: Huawei Picks Agere
Any guess on how long it will take for Huawei to reverse engineer Agere's product and announce its own competing product? 6 months? 1 year?

Another American company falls victim to Huawei ...

re: Huawei Picks Agere Knowing what I know about Huawei, probably not even 3 months. I've seen them reverse engineer a Motorola handset in two weeks in order to deliver a feature that a customer wanted. Of course, they then packaged it into *another* handset and gave the "new" handset for a slightly increased price....!!! Agere is probably history even now.

re: Huawei Picks Agere 3 months. Don't really know if American companies are falling victim to Huawei...they are introducing alternative solutions to the traditional Western tech. giants that are out there.

Yup, public industrial esponiage instead of spying in the dark by stealing in secret. Now its done in broad daylight.

Anyone read the articles about the Chinese spy ring in LA stealing military and naval design secrets?

PS: I heard that China is cloning every single person in the free world and will sell them back to families at a reduced price.
