re: Headcount: Give Me Liberty Well, as of last week some ex-Jedaiers were telling me that they had closed their doors and that people were picking up their stuff.

When did Lightreading speak with Michael Pritz?

Is Jedai going into some kind of super-sleep mode?

Anyone actually know some facts? (Is it too early to throw out my stock certificate?)

re: Headcount: Give Me Liberty Ciena is in the process of finalizing another round of cuts, targetting 25% or even more of current company headcount.

Ouch!

The Cryas product is going to be severly affected, with most current designers being axed.

Ouch again!

re: Headcount: Give Me Liberty If you are talking about 25% reduction, the number of the lay-off will be around 700. It is far more than total number of the K2 related people (about 150), which means more products will be affected. Any idea about when it is going to happen?

re: Headcount: Give Me Liberty Mahi's has been on the hook for a long time, sleeping deeply. After having that huge layoff more than a year ago they Wulster formerly with Corvia renamed brightlink, that became brightblink.

I know that the cross connect brightlink developed sat in a garage where nobody would pay the freight...a reverse startup, you land up in a garage...

re: Headcount: Give Me Liberty Last night I was told that everybody but a secretary and a couple of the upper level managers are gone. I was also told that the $10M did't come through (and that would seem to be an awfully large amount to take into hibernation).

So as of now, I believe Jedai is dead, and this article based on old news.

re: Headcount: Give Me Liberty Whomever signed in as someone else should be both exposed by actual name and then permanently blocked from all access to this message board. Such a person is as much a vile coward as is any terrorist. LR editors, if you have any salt, then you should do this immediately. This is an identity crime, something the feds prosecute.
