re: Has Hammerhead Nailed Verizon?Just curious if this was Fujitsu selling a solution with Hammerhead as part of the solution ; or was this Hammerhead winning the business themself?
re: Has Hammerhead Nailed Verizon?Optical, It does not matter who is selling it. The relevance is insignificant. This is a neat pet trick to get a valuation above a few dollar more. This company has been dredging for while and the stuff coming out of the activity is not smelling very good.
re: Has Hammerhead Nailed Verizon?I'd imagine the deals were done by Fujitsu -- it seems a startup doesn't have much chance these days without a big-brother OEM at their side.
So what do folks think of the Savvis theory? We first noted that two years ago, literally I think ... is it any more/less likely today?
re: Has Hammerhead Nailed Verizon?Hmm.. something's fishy.! typically big companies dont buy from startups unless there is some strong indication that they are gonna be around for a while. And that too Verizon who is known to wring out the last drop in terms profit from the vendors ...
You're missing one point made in the article. You're right that Verizon won't but from start-ups. However, Fujitsu is the primary supplier of optical gear to VZ so it's possible that they would buy from them.
