re: Fraud du Jour Gina, thanks -- we're always looking for new ideas. We'll check this out.

It was just the conspiracy charge that made me chuckle.

re: Fraud du Jour bad accounting practices... corrupt CEO's... how is all of this any different from things of the past? it just so happens that the telecom companies are suffering a down turn and it is no longer easy to cover up what they've been doing, once revenue stops flowing.

i just can't imagine that corporations have gotten any more corrupt than they've always been.

You can't be serious? Why do you think the difference in pay between the rich and the poor is getting wider? One word - Reaganomics. Perhaps 20 years is beyond your horizon? CEOs have always been crooks but the 80s really kicked it up a notch.

P.S. du ~ de le in French but there is no such phrase as "de le". The feminine equivalent is de la (of the). So du is correct for masculine "le jour". Fraud du jour = fraud of the day. Hope you enjoyed the French lesson.

Wouldn't the French Canadian version be:

...Fraud du Jour la-bas, eh!...?
