re: Ericsson's Svanberg Could 'Bolt On' "It seems that Calix will have about $150mm in revenues in 2006"

Actually Calix revenue is closer to $240.00 million for 2006

re: Ericsson's Svanberg Could 'Bolt On' Even if you spot Calix the extra millions, their desired valuation is still way high (also assuming that seven is on target with his figure). It is interesting to see Big Band in this article

as they are only looking at a ~$500M valuation with annual revenues well north of $100M. I think that Calix exemplifies the arrogance that continues to exist in Petaluma where the belief that all good products must be from CA's Telecom Valley. The only acquistion out there that made the purchasing company money was Optilink, and that was a long time ago.

Has Sprint / Embarq deployed much Calix gear? I doubt it. The only "major" customers that Calix has are those Tier 2 providers ignored by the RBOC vendors.

If Calix's executives truly believe they are worth that much, than at least it is undeniably a 420 friendly work environment!

re: Ericsson's Svanberg Could 'Bolt On' Morning,

Given that Tellabs has said that more than 1/2 its revenues come from Access, the AFC acquisiton has also made money.

re: Ericsson's Svanberg Could 'Bolt On' I think the MOT will look more closely at Juniper to fill out it's IPTV portfolio after they get the little bits like the Tut headend sorted out.
