re: Broadcom Challenger Raising $10M More

It's funny to hear James Sun talk about the travails of being a startup -- how nobody believes you, how everybody outside China has their suspicions.

They do seem to be for real, at least as far as getting some technology produced.  They'll be interesting to watch.

Centec and HiSilicon cooperation can be a Risk to Broadcom, with Huawei's strong marketing and execution ability and Centec's Carrier Ethernet Technology, will be a very severious threat to the Broadcom StaraX Series chipset if the HiSilicon are willing to sell these chipsets to the customers out scope of the Huawei.

re: Broadcom Challenger Raising $10M More

"When they use Broadcom, they don't do all the tests. But when they look at us -- you know how much testing they do?" he says. "You can test silicon like this forever."

Wow. I would like to know which one of his potential customers just takes a chip from Broadcom and "doesn't do all the tests". Good luck with that, let us know how that goes.
