re: BCN Joins Router RaceFoundry you blew it with Procket. Here is another opportunity for you to play with the big boys. Spend some of that money in the bank before its too late.
re: BCN Joins Router RaceWitness the birth of another hype-machine, the first of ever-multiplying comparisons ("another Juniper") that will provide another soap opera and many hits on the LR website.
re: BCN Joins Router RaceProcket would have killed Foundry. Way too much burn and simply not enough demand. Foundry needs to buy F5 and own the load balancer business, Airespace or Aruba or Trapeze and get into next gen LAN, or some kind of play that changes the playing field for them. They are going to get crushed by Force10 at the high end, and Cisco can keep them out of enterprise and Federal without even breaking a sweat.
It's time for Bobby to go. He's holding on too tight and the company is suffocating.
re: BCN Joins Router RaceDid any of these guys have a Wellfleet connection? As we all know their flagship backbone router at the time was called BCN "Backbone Concentrator Node".
I had the pleasure of working with Wellfleet gear in the past. Their products were always superior to Cisco's it's just a pity that the marketing team wasn't.
