I hear you... the bottom line is that filtering the boards is a lot of work, so if you find messages you deem especially offensive please forward the URL to [email protected] and we will take a look, possibly to delete

re: B. Max R.I.P.
Some people will miss BM. Although his posts were on most occassions derogatory, anti-establishment and without foundation, he was at least good for a laugh, don't you think?

Two things puzzle me about this decision:

1. It is so easy to set up a new alias that he'll be back I'm sure.

2. The editorial control of the message board seems to be really inconsistent. Firstly, there are many personal antagonisms on the board, sometimes posted with an offensive tone/language. Secondly, the messageboard thread often totally departs from any semblance of weighed discussion. See the recent postings about Headcount: Offshoring for some prime examples. This thread bordered on xenophobia and racial stereotyping in many messages.

I will continue to believe that BobbyMax was an LR creation unless and until Peter Heywood states officially otherwise on these boards.

Peter ?

Agreed, BobbyMax=LR Staff

I think there are others as well...to keep us hitting the boards...hitrate=adpurchase...

Hey, it's a business...I will say this...LR has made our industry more interesting...good/bad...who is to say.

I'm flattered to hear that my statements carry so much weight.

I can officially state that BobbyMax was *not* an LR creation. In fact, we managed to figure out who he was several months ago.

Yes, Bobby, we know who you are.

Peter,

It's disturbing to note that LR actually drills down and determines the 'real' identify of those that post.

I'm sure your readership and the continued use of the message boards will be inspired by such disclosures by an LR editor.

Do you know who I am ?

The swearing in that post is not consistent with a typical BM post.

BM is obviously a figment of LR's imagination whose time for termination has come.
