re: A-IMS Effort Launched Verizon et al's press release posted here in end July sounded interesting but its now a month later. What happened?

I heard it was presented in 3GPP2/X but not well received. Is that where it will stop or is Verizon planning to come back to 3GPP2 and 3GPP with a more concrete standardisation plan.

Any thoughts?
