re: Smaller US Operators to Become Spectrum Snacks? They totally overpaid for Leap, but more importantly kept that valuable spectrum out of T-Mobile's hands. In midwestern top 50 markets like Milwaukee, T-Mobile simply doesn't have enough AWS spectrum for LTE, therefore can't really deploy. Leap's addition would've been perfect.

I think T-Mobile should go after spectrum squatter Aloha, and also try purchasing US Cellular at some point.

re: Smaller US Operators to Become Spectrum Snacks? It seems like AT&T may have overpaid for Leap, in part to keep its AWS spectrum out of T-Mobile's hands. Analysts estimate AT&T is paying $5.25B for Leap after factoring debt and lease obligations, or $2.31/MHz/POP, well above the prices for recent spectrum deals. What's the next target?
