re: Huawei Sets Out Its 5G Stall Ha ha. Using these super-high frequency bands will certainly set up a new set of challenges with this tech, if it is to become "5G" at some point. I don't believe there's been any actual official reckoning on what fifth-generation wireless technology actually is.

re: Huawei Sets Out Its 5G Stall So, the common thread between Huawei and Samsung's vision of what 5G could be is that the technology will use much higher frequencies than are typically used now. A couple of questions leap to mind straight away.

1. FSO uses high frequencies, rain fade is usually a problem for such systems. How will this be solved.

2. These are often satellite comms bands. Are we going to get more satellite interference issues arising?
