Don't think anyone hyas ever split that out but certainly the big 2 US mobile carriers give the impression that more 4G tablets are being connected because of the shared plans.

See the trend directly it would be interesting to see a time chart of the actual number of tablets (wifi only/3G/4G) and laptops sold, per month, since 2010.   Please share if anyone has this data!

The tablet growth is impressive, especially given the dominance of WiFi tablets this time last year. The tides are changing. Wonder if shared data plans had any influence on that.

The chart really shows how much that tablets have started to take over from laptops as a larger form factor for LTE.
