KITCHENER, Ont. -- Meikle Automation, Inc. a leader in manufacturing equipment automation, today announced that it has formalized an acquisition of Electro-Mechanical Specialties, Inc of Sanford, North Carolina. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed. The addition of EMS Automation, with a strong presence in the eastern US automation market, will position Meikle Automation Inc. to compete strongly in the North American automation market. Electro-Mechanical Specialties, Inc, or EMS Automation, a privately-held company is a progressive leader in manufacturing automation systems in the east. The Company brings an impressive list of Fortune 500 customers throughout North America to the newest division of Meikle Automation, called MeikleEMS.
