MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif. -- Building on its strong management team, Kestrel Solutions, Inc., an innovator in optical networking, has appointed Martin J. Kaplan as Chairman of the Board, Chief Executive Officer and President. Kaplan, also a director of the company, has served as Kestrel's interim CEO since June 12, 2001. Kestrel was recently awarded a master purchase contract from a Regional Bell Operating Company. With more than 29 years of experience in telecommunications, Kaplan is recognized as one of the industry's top technology leaders. Prior to joining Kestrel Solutions, Kaplan was Chief Executive Officer of TeON Optical Networks, Inc.
