F5 Networks announced its number-two ranking in worldwide SSL VPN revenue

SEATTLE -- F5 Networks, Inc. (http://www.f5.com) (NASDAQ:FFIV), the global leader in Application Delivery Networking, today announced its number-two ranking in worldwide SSL VPN revenue according to a recent Infonetics Research report, Network Security Appliances and Software, Quarterly Worldwide Market Share and Forecasts for 4Q061. F5 continued to lead the majority of the SSL VPN vendors in 4Q06 with 13.3% market share.

Infonetics notes that the increasing use of SSL VPN technology for disaster recovery as well as backup access to key applications will continue to drive SSL VPN market growth. Further potential market drivers, according to Infonetics, also include the use of SSL VPN technology to provide a layer of security across the entire network.
