MENLO PARK, Calif. -- Luxoft, a member of the IBS Group and a global provider of advanced application and product development services, unveiled the new OpenFlow 1.3 module for its open source test automation platform, Twister, at the Open Networking Summit 2013 in Santa Clara, CA. With over 200 test cases available, Twister helps equipment vendors thoroughly test and verify the conformance of their software-defined networking (SDN) products with the OpenFlow 1.3 standard.“The introduction of OpenFlow 1.3 is a major milestone in the industry-wide adoption of software-defined networking. It is designed to become a sound foundation for a broad range of commercial implementations,” said Vasiliy Suvorov, Vice President of Technology Strategy at Luxoft. “Based on feedback from the community and our participation in Open Networking Foundation we saw a growing need for a commercially supported OpenFlow 1.3 conformance test suite. The new module includes additional conformance tests and productivity features. It can be used easily alongside other test scenarios employed for regression, system, and other types of tests, thus providing a complete test automation environment for network equipment developers.”Luxoft
