Look Ma! I'm Traveling

6:00 PM -- Recently I've noticed a disturbing trend in "blogging." Some people, apparently, find that the purpose of writing a blog is to tell the world how much they travel, including all the nitty gritty details of where they are at any given moment.

For example, from a recent entry in Jeff Pulver's blog on Pulver.com.

My week ahead: As October ends and November begins, I'm back on the road again.

Today I am scheduled to spent time in NYC for meetings; Tuesday I'm in Philadelphia where I am a guest speaker at the Wharton Entrepreneurship Club; Wednesday it's Boston (again) for meetings; Thursday I'm in Toronto for the opening of the new BCE Capital office, and Friday I'm back in NYC for the Marconi Society Gala.

Thanks for sharing, Jeff! The Marconi Society Gala -- now that's exciting stuff. Here's a recent one from Jason McCabe Calcanis, a guy who recently somehow managed to sell Weblogs Inc. to Time Warner Inc. (NYSE: TWX) for $15M in cash. Congrats Jason! I had to check out his Website after reading this. Personally, I was more interested in the "how to" guide of how to sell your blog collection to Time Warner, but instead I got another travel update:

I’ll be at AOL’s Santa Monica office today checking out our new office space (we got an office and a cube to start... whoa!!!!). We’re not an office-based company, but as we’re growing we’ve got folks telling us they want to work out of an office, so we need to have that option to get the folks we want to get on the team.

Thanks Jason. Whooaaa!!!! Dude!! An office for a non-office based company in Santa Monica! Killer!!!!

In case anybody was wondering: Today I was in New Jersey.
