Limelight Upgrades Capacity to 2.2 Tbit/s

Content delivery network (CDN) Limelight Networks Inc. (Nasdaq: LLNW) has upgraded its total network capacity to 2.2 Tbit/s, which the company says gives it the ability to serve up approximately four Nielsen points of video.

Over the past year or so, conventional wisdom in the online video space has said that the total capacity of all content delivery networks (CDNs) added up to about a million eyeballs, or one Nielsen point of capacity -- maybe two.
