Light Reading Launches Brand Survey

Light Reading has launched a branding survey that will define product categories and ultimately rank suppliers in terms of brand awareness among customers.

The first stage in this project requires reader input, so please check out the report we've just published, entitled Who Makes What: Equipment 2003. This article takes a first stab at defining product categories and listing vendors. The idea is that readers will help refine this list by suggesting changes, additions, and deletions.

All equipment vendors should make sure that their products are correctly portrayed in this report, which will be regularly updated by Yours Truly.

In the next stage of this project, we will use the refined product categories and vendor lists to conduct the largest branding survey ever undertaken in the telecommunications industry. Our goal is to get 1,000 service provider personnel to respond to the survey.

The results will be published later this year and will provide a framework for future product surveys by Light Reading.
