Last.fm Leaders Depart

4:30 PM -- Today on Contentinople:

  • The three founders of Last.fm -- Felix Miller, Richard Jones, and Martin Stiksel -- are leaving the U.K.-based Internet music company, two years after it was acquired by CBS for $280 million. "We feel the time is right to begin the process of handing over the reins," they said on the company's blog.

  • Though most advertising spending took a hit in the first quarter of the year, spending on Internet display ads actually grew 8.2 percent from the first quarter of 2008, TNS Media Intelligence reports.

And in today's News Bits, starting this Friday at midnight, Facebook will offer vanity URLs to users.
