3 UK appoints Kevin Russell as deputy CEO

LONDON -- 3, the mobile media company, today announced the appointment of Kevin Russell as deputy CEO in the UK.

Russell, age 40, joins in January 2007 from 3 Australia where he has been Chief Executive Officer since September 2001. As Deputy CEO he will have a major role in the running of the UK and Ireland operations and will report directly to Bob Fuller, CEO.

Bob Fuller, CEO, 3 UK and Ireland said: “3 is now a major business in the UK with very significant revenues from our communications and mobile media business. Our challenge is to continue to build scale and presence in this highly competitive market.”

He went on to say: “I am delighted to bring in such an experienced leader to help drive the next stage of our development. I’ve worked with Kevin for over 10 years and I’m pleased he has agreed to return to the UK to join my team.”

Kevin Russell said: “I’m very excited to be returning to the UK. 3 has developed leading market positions in the mobile media sectors under Bob’s direction and I am keen to further this position in mobile broadband.“
