Brian Jervis becomes CEO of Trillium Photonics

Trillium Photonics, Inc., an emerging leader delivering a new generation of fiber amplifiers for optical networks, today announced the appointment of Brian Jervis as President and Chief Executive Officer, and a member of Trillium's board of directors. Founded last year by renowned researchers Dr. Piotr Myslinski and Dr. Simon Boothroyd, Trillium Photonics received its first funding from early stage venture capital firm Mohr, Davidow Ventures.

Mr. Jervis has a strong track record as a senior executive with leading telecommunications equipment suppliers, developing complete solutions for customers and expanding sales globally. He most recently served as President and CEO of Kestrel Solutions, an optical networking company based in Mountain View, California. Prior to that, he was Executive Vice President of the Switching Products Group at Newbridge Networks with global responsibility for the company's core switching products. Before that, Mr. Jervis spent 20 years at Nortel Networks where he held a number of senior management positions including Senior Vice President and General Manager of Magellan Passport and Data Packet Networks, and Group Vice President, Switching Networks in Bell Northern Research. He earned both a Bachelor and Master of Science degree in computer science from the University of British Columbia before joining the Bell Northern Research scientific staff.
