Juniper Networks appoints Robert M. Calderoni, chairman and CEO of Ariba, to its board of directors

SUNNYVALE, Calif. -- Juniper Networks, Inc. (Nasdaq:JNPR - News) today announced the appointment of Robert M. Calderoni, chairman and CEO of Ariba, Inc., (Nasdaq:ARBA - News) to Juniper Networks board of directors.

"Bob brings over 15 years of experience as a Fortune 500 financial and operations executive with intimate knowledge of how technology can optimise a corporation's spending practices and we're excited to welcome him to the Juniper Networks team."

Mr. Calderoni spearheads Ariba's vision and product strategy around Enterprise Spend Management, which assists companies in managing spend and improving their bottom-line. Mr. Calderoni is also chairman of Ariba's Board of Directors.

Prior to Ariba, he served as senior vice president of Finance and chief financial officer for Avery Dennison. Previously, Mr. Calderoni served as senior vice president of Finance and corporate controller for Apple Computer, Inc., and as CFO and vice president of Finance for IBM's $8 billion Storage Systems Division. Before IBM, he was with Arthur Andersen & Company. Mr. Calderoni is a certified public accountant and graduated from Fordham University with a Bachelor of Science degree.
