  • Apple CEO Steve Jobs has returned from medical leave, Apple finally officially admits. Jobs, who went on leave in January due to a "hormone imbalance," was sighted around Apple's Cupertino, Calif., headquarters several times last week.

  • Under terms of a new deal, Akamai will be the go-to content delivery network provider for enterprise digital asset management firm Kit Digital, which will package and resell Akamai's CDN services to its customers.

  • Steve Liddell, president of international operations for CDNetworks has resigned "for personal reasons," Contentinople's Ryan Lawler has learned. He will be replaced by board member John Milburn.

  • Digitalsmiths has launched a new video search engine capable of searching for things we never thought we could search for before, like specific actors using the search engine's facial recognition technology -- or nude scenes, using its “skin detection algorithm."
