MILPITAS, Calif. and BRUSSELS -- JDSU today announced the launch of NetComplete Home Performance Monitoring (PM), an extension of its service assurance system that supports broadband services and network deployments for providers around the world. NetComplete Home PM offers increased visibility required to meet the stringent quality of experience (QoE) expectations for video, voice, and data over xDSL and FTTx networks by accessing critical service performance information inside the home.

NetComplete Home PM provides end-to-end proactive service fault management by continuously monitoring the performance of home networking equipment, including set top box (STB), analog terminal adaptor (ATA), and the residential gateway (RG). It automatically identifies customers that are experiencing degraded service and poor performing network elements. In addition, NetComplete Home PM provides rapid fault demarcation that supports in-service diagnostic testing with on-demand, real-time data collection for rapid and accurate fault investigation, troubleshooting and root cause analysis.

JDSU Communications Test and Measurement solutions will be on display at Broadband World Forum in Brussels, September 29-October 2, booth # 486.

"JDSU understands that service providers concerned about performance issues must measure and evaluate network performance from the headend to the home, including data collection and correlation from the residential gateway and beyond through to the set top box or customer premises equipment," said Jerry Gentile, vice president in JDSU's Communications Test and Measurement business segment. "JDSU is proud to be a global leader in home performance monitoring -- our solution provides a true measure of a customer's quality experience by extracting data from inside the home and generating key performance indicators (KPIs) for end-to-end service quality visibility."
