LAS VEGAS -- Ixia (NASDAQ: XXIA), a leading provider of high-speed, multi-port network performance analysis and network optimization systems, today introduced its TXS Layer 2-7 Gigabit Ethernet Load Modules at Networld + Interop, Spring. These interface Load Modules are the industry’s highest performance analysis tools and integrate a high-performance RISC PowerPC. The Load Modules combine complex wire-speed Layer 2 and 3 traffic generation and analysis with true Layer 4 through 7 session emulation. Ixia’s Load Modules are used by ISPs, NSPs, and network equipment test engineers to verify both the functionality and performance of intelligent 10/100/1000 Mbps network devices, such as web switches, web servers, and server load balancers. “The development of our TXS series of CPU per-port Load Modules reinforces Ixia’s commitment to providing the industry with comprehensive solutions for testing next generation networks,” said Charles Bettinelli, Ethernet product manager for Ixia. “With each port integrating a powerful RISC processor running the Linux operating system, our customers now have an extremely flexible test platform to address a wide range of the analysis needs, from Layer 2 through Layer 7, and including sophisticated routing protocols, so important in verifying today’s content aware devices.”Ixia
