Ixia appoints Jonathan Fram and Gail Hamilton to its board of directors

CALABASAS, Calif. -- Ixia (Nasdaq:XXIA - News) today announced two new additions to its Board of Directors - Jonathan Fram and Gail Hamilton. With these additions, Ixia now has six members on its Board of Directors.

Jonathan Fram currently serves as an Entrepreneur in Residence at DCM - Doll Capital Management, a venture capital firm with more than $1 billion under management. Mr. Fram is also currently on the Board of Directors of Marchex (Nasdaq:MCHX - News), an Internet search services company. From October 2001 to May 2002, Mr. Fram was the CEO of Envivio, a provider of MPEG-4 broadcast and streaming solutions, while he was a consultant to France Telecom, Envivio's majority shareholder at that time. He also was the President and CEO of eVoice until its sale to America Online in July 2001, and was the President of Net2Phone, a public company, until AT&T acquired a controlling interest in 2000. Additionally, Mr. Fram has served as a General Manager at Bloomberg, responsible for the Television, Internet, and Radio divisions. Mr. Fram received a BSEE from Princeton University.

Gail E. Hamilton has more than 20 years of experience growing leading technology and services businesses serving the enterprise market. Until recently, she was Executive Vice President and General Manager for Global Services and Support at Symantec, a global leader in information security. At Symantec, Ms. Hamilton also previously served as Executive Vice President, Product Delivery and Response, and as Senior Vice President, Enterprise Solutions Division. Prior to joining Symantec, she served as the General Manager of the Communications Platform Division for Compaq Computers and as the General Manager of the Telecom Platform Division, a Hewlett-Packard Company. She received a BSEE from the University of Colorado and has a MSEE from Stanford University.
