KEYSTONE, Colo. -- Veniam, the company that is building the Internet of Moving Things, announced today that it has been voted as the 'best new innovative product idea most likely to succeed' within the cable industry at this year's CableLabs' Summer Conference Innovation Showcase. Veniam had 150% more votes than the 2nd place company. CableLabs Summer Conference is a private conference attended by cable operator members, vendors and key industry leaders.

"This prestigious recognition by cable industry leaders further validates Veniam's disruptive approach to bring mobility to Wi-Fi," said João Barros, Founder and CEO of Veniam. "We are very excited to work with the leading cable operators and internet service providers to turn fleets of vehicles into mobile Wi-Fi spots and vehicular mesh networks, thereby generating new business opportunities for the industry."

CableLabs' Innovation Showcase was an exclusive opportunity for eight specially selected companies to demonstrate their technologies to leaders in the cable industry community. Each participant in this invitation-only event was given minutes to demonstrate the technological innovation, and its value as a key enabler or strategic trend for this community.
